DivIDE is organising the second edition of the Barcelona Science Slam. Date: 27th of October at 9:30pm Venue: Black Lab Organiser: European Training Network DivIDE & Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) Barcelona What is the Barcelona Science Slam? It is a science communication contest where PhD students explain their research projects in 5 min talks. Talks should be hold in a non-technical language, engaging and fun way. The slam winner is chose by the audience. You can see some example here. The BCN Science Slam will be the final event of a science communication workshop organized at the CRG for PhD students from different and interdisciplinary European Training Networks. During the workshop 6 finalists will be selected to present at the BCN Science Slam. Nevertheless, we would like to give also you the possibility to present your work. Apply now for one of the 2 free slots!! For this, please send us a short film of maximum 2 minutes duration presenting your research project by October 16 at the latest. Upload the video in a Dropbox and share the link with us via email: training@crg.eu (subject of the email: Barcelona Science Slam). In the mail tell us a bit about your background and from which institute are you coming from. We will select the best 2 talks and inform the candidates (by the October 20) if they have been selected.
